I
was born during those times when computers were still considered strangers to
human beings. So all we ever knew that time was not closely related to hi-tech
gadgets or computers for that matter. Sure, there were already televisions and
Betamax on those days but we did not allow ourselves to be lured by those
virtual characters found on the screen. More often than not, we were found
playing outside. We would even dance under the rain or play our favorite hide
and seek, and go home drenched in sweat. We were active unlike these kids
nowadays, who are usually stuck sitting in front of their iPad or laptops.
Don’t
get me wrong, though. I have nothing against these gadgets. If anything, I’m
thankful they were invented because they have made life easier – if not for
everybody, at least, for me. Although a part of me wishes that kids of this
digital world did not rely much on technology, who am I to complain – really? I
now earn a living because of the various innovations introduced by technology.
And so do the others.
Truth be told, there are various people who have opted to
work online because the job is profitable and flexible. So they could choose to
work at home on an early morning or on a nighttime depending on their
availability. Most of these lucrative works include web designing for
professionals, who want to advertise their services to gain more clients. That
is why, if you must have noticed, there are now psychologist websites, therapist
websites, and the likes, swarming the web. Designing these therapy websites may seem easy given
that it only requires the aid of software. Yet these sites are the result of
days of hard work to incorporate ideas and create projects, such as the therapistweb design, because a lot of scripts have to be edited and a series of
numbers to be calculated to optimize the site itself.
